Your monthly dose of exceptional music is back this month, as lifelab x StadtGesichter brings you the rising stars from across the country in one convenient location. Sit back, relax, and enjoy, as we usher in Volume 13!
For the safety of our audience, performers, and team members, we have strictly complied with the latest health regulations prescribed by the WHO, RKI, and the federal government of Nordrhein-Westfalen. Everyone in the space has presented proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test result. Constant disinfection and sufficient ventilation were done in accordance to lifelab.space’s hygiene concept.

Our jolly StadtGesichter host Soleil Ndongala warms up the crowd for the evening’s festivities. Our multi-hyphenated emcee ensures the whole event runs smoothly, and gives us an insight into each performer’s inspiration and music.

First on the roster is singer-songwriter Hubertus Nitsche. The Cologne native’s passion for music not only shines through his lyrical compositions and smooth vocals, but through his hobby of guitar building as well. Armed with one of his custom-made string creations, his performance for the night is the perfect balance of melodical lightness and emotional depth.

Next up is the guitar and vocal duo of Christina Zurhausen and Sarah Tsehaye, also known as Soundbirdz. With different genres serving as their inspiration, they are free to create and express music that truly speaks to the soul. The ladies’ irresistibly sunny rhythm and energy during their performance is a sure crowd pleaser.

Third on our list is Jabul (pronounced Jah-Boo), a rising rapper, songwriter and producer hailing from Oldenburg, Germany. His eclectic fusion of alternative R&B, hip-hop, soul, and electronic music has listeners grooving to his sounds on repeat. One of the first singles released from his joint album with CTO is the song Regardless, currently boasts 46,000 views on YouTube and counting.

Last but not the least is guitarist-vocalist Linda Schreiber. She is no stranger to the lifelab stage, as she has performed previously with the group Her Majesty Calling. Linda’s agile voice, accompanied with masterful, soul-filled acoustic melodies that kept our audience enraptured. Her short yet powerful performance was met with thunderous applause ---- making it the perfect end to a perfect evening.
